The 2019 Dominion Leasing Software User Conference was held May 19-21, 2019, at the picturesque Virginia Crossings, a Tapestry Collection Hotel by Hilton, in Richmond, Virginia.
Venue: The 2019 Dominion Leasing Software User Conference was held at the beautiful Virginia Crossings Hotel in Glen Allen (suburban Richmond), Virginia. Attendees found a venue perfectly situated for peacefulness and relaxation in a retreat-like setting with an extensive 20-acre green space. Known for hosting unforgettable meetings with best-of-class conference rooms and state-of-the-art technology, the hotel also offered attendees opportunities for golfing across the way at The Crossings Golf Club or to visit downtown Richmond and explore the sights. Accommodations featured southern charm and fantastic views overlooking the courtyards, gardens, or the greens of The Crossings golf course. A perfect setting for this year’s User Conference!
Conference: The 2019 User Conference was kicked off during a Sunday evening reception in the Henrico room, featuring cocktails, hour d’oeuvres, and reconnecting. Just steps away from the hotel lobby and overlooking the hotel grounds, this event was both convenient for attendees just arriving and picturesque.
Conference sessions began on Monday morning and featured a full day of both education and informative sessions, including sneak peaks and upcoming LeaseComplete Customer Portal and newly available DecisionComplete products. This year’s main conference track was primarily focused on the new and improved functionality available in the recently released LeaseComplete Version 5. Highlighted features included new funding module enhancements, queuing and workflow, a “wizards” overview, using checklists, mass imports/exports, and restructuring debt, to name a few. There was even sessions on upgrading to Version 5 which included a step-by-step walkthrough of the process. In all, sixteen unique topics were presented during the day and half conference!
Entertainment: The famous (or infamous) Monday evening event was held in the Hanover ballroom. The evening began with cocktails and review of the day’s topics. At 7pm the doors opened to the ballroom to reveal a casino-style nightclub, with DJ, photo booth, and a lighted dancefloor! At 7:30pm, dinner was served to all attendees and guests, where great conversation and a little “seat-dancing” was noticed. After dinner, it was time to let loose on the dancefloor and everyone did just that! All-in-all, it was a wonder time to unwind and get to know each other a little better!
